The Story Behind the Brand

Hikari Luna made me rediscover the beauty of creating something physical. For years, I’ve expressed my creativity online by making YouTube videos, writing blog posts, creating digital journals, prompt cards… I could go on and on.

To be honest, I don’t remember the exact moment when the idea of making jewelry popped into my mind.

At that time, I had recently moved to a very small Swiss village for an internship. Because it was supposed to be only one year, I decided to live in a small room inside a lady’s house. The house was absolutely stunning, but I spent most of my time in a small room.

I spent a lot of time alone during that period. I was in a super long-distance relationship, and all of my friends lived at least two hours away from me. Plus, I’m an introvert, and I love spending time doing my little things.

So, it’s out of this context that Hikari Luna was born. One day, I simply purchased some materials to start creating jewelry. And as I started creating, I began to find my style.

Metal wire, yes. Elastic or plastic wire, no. Real pearls, yes. Acrylic, no. Gemstones, yes. Glass, no.

I wasn’t deliberately trying to choose natural materials, but all the most beautiful pieces I created were always made with those materials.

And not only did they look more beautiful, they also felt better. Synthetic materials smell bad and just don’t feel wholesome. I don’t know enough to say whether crystals really have spiritual properties, but they definitely have a frequency that feels good.

So that’s the true story of how I started this brand. I put a lot of love into my pieces, and I hope you can feel it.
